Dad's Birthday!

This weekend we are headed to Ohio to celebrate Dad's birthday with family and friends on Saturday and then off to a dog competition on Sunday. We are stoked! It has been forever since we have seen Grams :) Yesterday was Dad's actual birthday, which just the folks celebrated with their friends. Dogs were not invited :(

When Dad got to work yesterday they had decorated his office/cube with frisbees and award ribbon streamers. The theme was Dad and his boys. They must think we like frisbees or something?!?! What do they know? Then Dad was taken out to lunch by his co-workers to one of his favorites, Taco Mac. Once the folks got home from work, Mom had a little surprise lined up for Dad. He did not know where they were going or what they were doing- it seems to be their birthday tradition to surprise each other. Turns out Mom took him to the Melting Pot- a fondue restaurant- which he had never been to before. And surprise two was that 5 of their friends were there to meet them for dinner. I think Dad was surprised, or so he says. It was definitely a fun experience for them and their friends, as a few others had not been there before either. Of course, a few pictures...

And Fortine...

Before the dessert arrived, Dad had a little surprise arrive at the table, courtesy of clever 'ol Fortine. As you know for our birthdays we always get Alpo as a treat. Well, Dad was not to be left out apparently...the waitress delivered to the table a dog bowl with a can of Alpo and a "30" candle on top (I am sure the wait staff thought they were crazy!). It was quite amusing...

Dad looks like me in this picture...crazy eyes waiting to eat the Alpo, hehe...

Then came out the real dessert, which was the best part of the whole meal! You can not see it here, but it is flaming...

The whole gang-(and looks like Fortine are throwing up their gang signs :))

And the folks...

Forlay...

And as you know a birthday would not be complete without birthday hats!!!

Happy 30th Daddigans!
