Our weekend in pictures...

Saturday: Steeple Chase at Kingston Downs in Kingston Ga

We got there bright and early. It was our first year there, and apparently it was the place to be and be seen. Women were dressed to their finest in floral dresses and big hats. The men were decked out in sport coats, seersuckers, and colorful dress shirts. It was a huge social event, and we barely knew there were any horse races occurring. Of course, we were mainly focused on the disc competition anyways. This time around, there were no level divisions, i.e. novice, intermediate, etc. Every entrant either competed in freestyle or toss and fetch. We were of course in toss and fetch, but what this means is that Dad and I were competing with the BIG dogs. I was able to advance to the second round by placing in the top 10. Wow! Mom and Dad seemed to be proud of me for advancing :) It was a warm day with temps averaging in the high 80's and at times, it turned to be very windy. By the second round, I was pretty hot and tired. Still, it made for a fun day. Fortine (Forrest and Christine) made it out to see us compete also. The folks were very happy that they made out to cheer and support Team Shade. I was a little disappointed that they didn't bring Cali girl, *sigh* Guess it was better for my focus anyways. Here's the pics...

Dad getting warmed up for us...

A few of Dad and Dens...

It's almost my turn...

A few shots of us on the field...

Here is the SMALLEST disc dog! It was such a cutie mini Aussie...kinda looks like a mini me...

Here is TEAM SHADE...they said they are getting shirts made...

Sunday:: Growing Veggies and Swimming at the Lake

Let's see if they will grow?!?

In this one we have banana peppers, cilantro, and jalepenos...yummos

And this one will be yellow squash...fingers crossed...

Grams, we are leaving the tomatoes up to you! And Mom may be calling you for help with the other veggies though!

And a few from the lake...

I love swimming...I will swim out before Dad even throws a ball out...

D's on the other hand...if he can't touch, he isn't going...so he just waits for me to bring the ball to him...

But dad still tried to get D's out there...

Den's really loves being out there and in the water, getting the ball- he is just so hesitant about everything. Dad is really good with Den's, working with him and all. Dad will throw short ones to D's, so he can still fetch the ball and not have to get in very far...it's the little things that makes Dens happy...man, we are all so lucky to have the addition of Den's to our family. Yeah, I love my brother too-what can I say.

trying to give him a chance...

Sometimes he is just not having it...

Just precious...

Regardless, the lake is always a good time for us.

The folks...(I promise that mom does NOT always have FIVE chins!)

Well that is all for now...hope everyone else had a good weekend as well!
