Shade is 2!

Yesterday we celebrated Shade's 2nd Birthday! He is 14 in dog years now and is officially a teenager. Maybe this can help explain some of his stubborn behavior lately. Regardless, he is still well mannered and full of love, play, and personality. For his birthday, Shade received some yummy treats, a new stuffed animal, and the usual Alpo dinner. Denver of course wasn't left out as he got some treats as well with an Alpo dinner....

End of the Season

Well the disc dog season came to a close earlier this month with the USDDN World Finals held in Cartersville, GA. It has been exactly one year since dad and I started competing in the disc dog sport and boy have we come a long way. Dad was proud of me that this year we qualified to compete against the best in the world in the Super Pro Toss and Fetch event. D's did not qualify but was able to compete in the Intermediate division of Toss and Fetch. We were worried about the weather at first but everything worked out well with light showers on Saturday and perfect weather on Sunday. Some friends even came out to watch and have a good time.

Boating

This past weekend the pack traveled up to Cincinnati to visit Grams and Gramps. Brother and I figured it was going to be an ordinary visit on the farm but boy were we in for a surprise. Saturday afternoon we all headed down to the lake and did some boating. Now this boating thing is new to me and Dens. Mom and Dad were curious to see how we would handle the ride. When we first got started I was a little anxious. Everyone was on the boat except Dad. He was on the jetski and everytime he would drive by I felt the need to try and get to him. Thankfully Mom, Ale, and Derek kept me from abandoning ship.

All aboard.

In Focus

Sometimes me and brother hear Dad bickering at Mom about messing up the picture settings on the camera. "Why is it dark? Why is it blurry? What the %@*#?" He says. Brother and I of course have no clue what he is talking about. Apparently he came across a couple photos of us that someone posted online from one of our Frisbee competitions. These were taken with one of those uber expensive cameras with the long lens. They do focus in good, but then again, so do me and brother. Check us out.

Just look at my eyes and ears.

Look at this one of brother. Dad said he doesn't even look like a dog in this pic. Maybe some wild and hairy looking beast.

I know this was a short blog, but nevertheless, always a joy showing off for friends and family. Dad is currently getting us prepped for our next competition at the end of September. I think he was getting frustrated with me at our last practice though because I was kind of acting like a lunatic one minute, then a lazy bum the next. Maybe I'll get it together by the end of the month.
